"WHY I LOVE PHOTOGRAPHING WEDDINGS?!""

The truth is that I love all types of photography, but weddings have my heart. Why weddings ? It's a good question, and one that I used to often stumble over as I would casually mention the love of the married couple, how fun they are and how happy the guests are ! The love and emotion you are declaring promises to each other in front of family and closest friends. The beauty, the makeup, the hair, the dress and the bouquets. Prettiness is in abundance!  Weddings are my favorite thing in the world to photograph, but here is a more considered response...  CHALLENGES :    The CHALLENGES of dealing with whatever the day throws at me. The changes in weather, photographing in a location I may not have seen before and having to think on my feet is what I THRIVE on. You have to be fast, and you have to think fast.   LIGHT :    Light is constantly changing throughout the day. In any one moment an event can occur in your peripheral vision, one must stay sharp and know the camera inside out to compensate for changes in exposure. I relish the challenge that comes with being quick on my feet being able to work at pace. Dark churches, people standing in your way, even walking from shade to sunlight can produce huge jumps in exposure.    THE UNEXPECTED:  This is one of the primary reasons why I love shooting weddings, people go through a variety of emotions on the day. Laughter, tears, and pure joy, all within the space of ten hours. It is truly magical. Because of this you have to be mindful of everything going on around you, not just the key moments of ring exchanges or first kiss. Guest may be crying, flower girls may be yawning, anything could happen and that's why they're so exciting.   THE CREATIVITY:  Each wedding is a brand new challenge and guarantees to keep you creatively engaged. Even if you shoot the same venue three weddings in a row, the light will change, the weather will change, and the people will change. Each of these factors will dramatically alter the final story. No two weddings are the same, so they should never be approached in the same way either. MY CLIENTS:   The single most rewarding thing about photographing a wedding is when a client tells me they can relive the day through the images. If my photographs re-enforce what they felt and mirror everything they experienced on the day, then I know I have done my job.   Yolanda Hill

Key Largo Lighthouse has such a place in my heart, I have been a part of so many memorable weddings there. The atmosphere encourages fun times, the foliage of the environment creates beautiful backdrops, and the sunsets are magical. It gives me the canvas to create images that outline my style as a Florida Keys wedding photographer. Jessica and Sean kept their wedding intimate with just a few of their closet family and friends.  What an honor. It was so great to get to know there two, their families and friends.

Key Largo is like a revolving door for destination weddings in Florida... and it's no wonder, with it's postcard perfect sunsets and an abundance of intriguing oddities to explore. But that doesn't make anyone's wedding day less unique and special to photograph. Especially when the couple happens to be two of the most genuine, fun and in love people I've ever met. "Sandra and Bruno are so flippin perfect for each other".

Their wedding was taken place at Key Largo Lighthouse weddings and events. From start to finish the day was smothered in good vibes and beautiful moments. The type of celebration that made me smile the entire time while I looked back on their wedding photos.

Jennifer and Travis are two of the nicest human beings I know. Everyone loves them ! And for good reason.. they're two different souls that beat as one. Jennifer has such a fun, spontaneous and crazy personality and Travis is completely the opposite. You know what they say, opposites attract and here is a great example. Jennifer and Travis had their dream wedding at The Addison in Boca Raton, Fl

Michelle and Wayne's Engagement session

Michelle and Wayne's blue sky engagement session took place in Jupiter, Florida.  After adventuring around Dubois park and getting this couple to relax, I captured some of the sweetest and most genuine moments between them. Needless to say, I am excited and looking forward to capturing more intimate moments of this couple.

Congrats to Michelle and Wayne who tie the knot this coming November at Sail Fish Marina West Palm Beach, Florida

Mr & Mrs Richey Wedding

Can you tell this bridal party was a good time?  These boys made me laugh throughout the day, such a great group. I cannot say enough great things about Mr & Mrs Richey what a sweet and kind couple. The wedding was taken place at the beautiful location of Key Largo Lighthouse weddings and events. Nothing like an intimate wedding with  friends and family.

Steve & Adriana

There is something special about a wedding that takes place in Downtown West Palm Beach, fun is an understatement. The groomsmen were a hoot, they were down for anything including a little football in the middle of Downtown!! The wedding ceremony took place at Saint Ann Church, the reception was supposed to take place at Roxy's Rooftop but due to the weather it was moved to the Wine Dive. Despite bad weather and having to change locations last minute, everything worked out, Steve and Adriana had a wonderful wedding day.

Mr & Mrs Galera

I got to know Stephen and Yanesy during their engagement session at Vizcaya Museum and Gardens in Miami, FL. Their engagement session was the perfect blend of good old fun and a genuinely happy couple. In the beginning Stephen was shy but by the end of the day I could tell he was feeling more comfortable with me. Their wedding took place at the elegant Benvenuto in Boynton Beach, FL. I absolutely loved spending the day with Stephen and Yanesy's family as they were so welcoming like a typical Cuban family!

Bryan & Katie

Despite the fact their wedding took place on a rainy, windy day we were still able to get some awesome shots. Their wedding took place at Jonathan Dickinson State Park on January 7th. Congratulations to Katie and Bryan Yolanda Hill Photography wishes you nothing but love and happiness.

Mr and Mrs Currier

I had the pleasure of meeting Mark and Ally prior to their wedding when I took their engagement photos. During their engagement session I learned that they had easygoing personalities and I knew we would have a great time at their wedding.  Elegant and pleasant are words that I would use to describe their weeding. Ally looked stunning and was glowing with happiness, she was truly excited for her big day. The wedding was held at the beautiful location, Benvenuto in Boynton Beach, FL.

Mr & Mrs Williams

I had a blast working with Timothy and Brittany, they truly treated me like part of the family and not just their photographer. Their wedding was in December of 2015 at Jacaranda Country Club in Plantation, Florida. Prior to the wedding I worked with them at their engagement session at Robin's Lodge in Davie, Florida. Timothy was shy in the beginning but by the end Brittany was pleasantly surprised with how much I got him to open up and smile for the photos! Brittany is the sweetest and most selfless person I have met, the fact that she thought of me on her wedding day and surprised me with a beautiful Pandora bracelet brought a tear to my eye. This showed me how kind and caring of a person she really is.

Mr & Mrs Moore

Dustin and Nicole got married at Out of the Blue in Jupiter, Florida in March 26, 2016. On the day of the wedding Nicole was shy and quiet, I knew I had to figure out a way to get her to open up to me. Once I began shooting, Nicole became more relaxed and things were flowing nicely. I had met Nicole prior to the wedding but I had not met Dustin until the day of the wedding. Dustin was energetic and a pleasure to work with, he set a great energy for the night!

Mr & Mrs Lebowitz Wedding

Danny and Jennifer were married on April 16, 2016 at the Wycliffe Country Club in beautiful Wellington, Florida. I also photographed their engagement session at Dubios Park in Jupiter, Florida. This gave us a chance to connect before their wedding, once they saw their engagement photos they were confident that I would do a flawless job at their wedding. They had a gorgeous Chuppah set up outside but unfortunately the weather was not in their favor and they had to move it indoors. Danny and Jennifer had the best attitudes even though things did not go as planned! Thank you for the amazing review on Yolanda Hill Photography Facebook, the best compliment I can receive is hearing that people are delighted and satisfied with my work!

Mr & Mrs Beresford

I had the pleasure of speaking with Brittany on the phone multiple times prior to the wedding. We did not meet in person until the day of the wedding but as soon as we met we both knew it was going to be a spectacular day. One thing I noticed about Brittany and Shawn is that they love fitness and I made sure to incorporate that into some of the shots. Their wedding was at the elegant Jupiter Beach Resort and Spa on March 18, 2016. Besides the venue being absolutely beautiful and having endless possibilities for photos, the staff was exceptionally friendly. Yolanda Hill Photography truly enjoys working at the Jupiter Beach Resort and Spa.

Ben and Jennifer, better know as Bennifer! Their wedding was at the Embassy Suites in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida on March 19, 2016. I also photographed their engagement session so I had gotten to know this fun-loving couple prior to their wedding. Their engagement session had to be rescheduled due to weather but we went out to dinner instead. I enjoyed getting to spend time with them, it truly helped me get to know them better. On the day of the wedding the weather wasn't looking to promising, but the skies cleared just long enough for us to get some stunning photos! Ben was so outgoing and energetic, I was able to capture how fun and exciting this couple truly is!

Blake & Kristi Engagement session

Kristi met Yolanda Hill Photography at Signature Grand Bridal Show in Davie, Florida. Soon after the bridal show Kristi contacted me and requested a meeting. Kristi's mom was present at the meeting and she has dabbled in photography and asked me some questions and she was pleased with all of my answers, and she knew I would do a great job at her daughters wedding. Kristi is such a sweetheart and she was delighted that I got Blake to open up to me during the session. I am looking forward to spending more time with this sweet and delightful couple on their wedding day in the end of May 2016. I know Kristi will be a gorgeous bride!

Mark & Ally Engagement Session

Mark and Ally's wedding is coming up on November 5, 2016 in Boynton Beach, Florida. Their engagement session was at Hugh Taylor Birch State Park in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. They were both shy at first but I got them to come out of their shell and by the end of the session they were comfortable working with me. Getting to know them during the engagement session set a good mood for their upcoming wedding. Yolanda Hill Photography is looking forward to photographing your big day!

Mr & Mrs Taft

Adam and Michelle got married on February 6, 2016 at the gorgeous Singer Island Beach Resort and Spa. Timeless, elegant, and effortless are just a few words I would use to describe their wedding. Michelle's makeup was done by the wonderful and talented Allyson with Eyecon Makeup. Michelle was easy going and had no requests, she relaxed and enjoyed her day while I did what I do best, photograph! I could tell they were the perfect couple because of how thoughtful and loving they were towards each other.
